REDIRECTION AFTER LOGIN

Hello dear ThemeForest team,

I've had a support case with you more than month ago.

The issue was that all user are redirected tp the Customer Dashboard after login, which is not exactly right, cause Vendors should be redirected to the Vendor Dashboard, and customers to the Customer Dashboard. To not make the thing complicated with redirecting user to different pages according to their role, I suggested to redirect all the users to the Homepage and asked if it is possible to do so.

The answer from your team was:

https://prnt.sc/nlfdgi

From 3. April 2019 I'm waiting for the answer from either about the issue solving or about the approximate date of update release. Nothing received.  It could be at least an automatical Email like "we are working with your problem, wait approx. until the Date x.". Not even that.

Today is 7. May 2019.

I hope that after more than month of waiting I  will finally get some information about my issue or an update, because I have to have this issue solved to have my website working like it should to.

Thank you for your help and support.

Best regards,
Petro Kozak

Hello,
I have one more question to the update.

I've done quite a lot of changes, and I translated the website, I have 2 language version now.

Will the changes be kept after updating?

Best regards,
Petro Kozak

Hello,

Thanks for your question.

1. About the customization - all the change in code, CSS, or any theme file, you should do it in the child theme then it won't be lost after the update.

If you do not use child theme and do the change in the parent theme, it will be lost. You need to save the file you change and do it in your site after the update.

You can refer to the child theme here:

https://developer.wordpress.org/themes/advanced-topics/child-themes/

2. About the settings and translation with Loco Translate or WPML or other plugins, it won't be lost after the update.

If there is any difficulty, you can open a ticket at the Ticket Support and provide us more detail information. After checking, our support team will help you.

Thanks,

Hello Mai,

The thing is, that I do not have a child theme. I dont know why, but the child theme isnt there. So I made all my configurations and translations in a Parent theme.

Could you tell me how is it possible to solve this situation so that I can update the theme?

Best regards,
Petro Kozak

Hello,

I uploaded and installed the child theme. Everything was good, all of my settings and customizations are there.

But what should I do next?

Delete the parent theme and install the new version of a parent theme? How do I synchronize the settings from child theme with the parent theme after installing the new version?

Could you please describe me the list of exact steps, that I should take to update the theme correctly?

Best regards,
Petro Kozak

Hello,

I successfully updated the theme. But the issue is still there. After login Customers are rediricted to the Customer Dashboard, which is right. But Vendor are redirected to the Customers Dashboard too, which is wrong. They should be redirected to the Vendor Dashboard.

Hope you find the solution of this issue.

Thank you for your help,
Best regards,

Hello,

I'm so sorry for missing your comment here. We have followed this issue in your ticket support.

I checked in the ticket and see that our developer has fixed this issue in your site for you before you update the theme.

"Dear sir,

Because you are using version 1.6.5, on the version 1.6.6 we fixed that issue. If you upgrade to version 1.6.6, plz backup file: lib/woocommerce-hook.php first, after updating successful, plz restore it."

You can get this file from your backup version then restore it in your site. After that it will be okay.

We also noted this one and will update in the theme later.

Thanks,
